Giving directions after blinding people

(Author's note: I think this is a very well done article/post for myself.
It based solely on my observations and experiences with people involved as well as in those organizations. Please do relate your experiences concerning them with me! :D)
Before the whole build-up of technology in the Kepong house,
I followed my cousin around for work.
He is a 19 year old, a marketing salesperson in the KL region.
He opted not to go for further education, and followed a more logical path, according to him,

As I learnt while accompanying him, I experienced cultural shock.
The way people in KL do business was quite a new thing for me.
"Yamcha", literally means drinking tea, but it is more of having
a couple of (non-alcoholic) drinks and chit chatting among people.
This is already a habit infused with the Malaysian lifestyle.
As for my cousin's dealings among KL people, they normally converse in
Cantonese, which I am poor at listening to its slangs.
With the conversations, sexual jokes, real life experiences
(some I see as insignificant) are discussed fervently among them.
Nevertheless in the field of sales, it could be said to be its "rites".
It is still my humble observations, so I may be erroneous or overstating points.

Basically, my cousin goes out to different places of KL or nearby states
to "yamcha" with other people(targets) for the whole day. 2-3 targets per day.
This normally happens for 2-3 times with the same target over a period of days
without introducing or even mentioning the product or event that he is promoting.
The 3th or 4th time, he would persuade the opposing dude with well, in my opinion, manipulative techniques to convince him. Adding to that,
he might bring some reinforcements, such as 1-2 more
colleagues working for the same company to help persuade the dude.

The way of persuasion, I find is quite something I would detest.
They boast about how they know the trend of the future
and how their marketing aligns with it, and using the
target's background to point out their financial chinks.
For me, I think the methodology is similar to how churches normally recruit new members.

Friends or families of the members(To be converted) are brought to be introduced to the "Organization Body"(Church/Direct sales or marketing company).

The company's "noble aims and objectives"
(Living through Christ to return to God/
Using a product for guranteed benefits, eg. health)
are shown.

Then, the members could talk of stuff not related to it for a while.
(Fluff, life, family, friends,events)

Then they begin to relate to the "to be converted people"
that if they continue their way of life, it would lead them to "sufferring"
(Hell/Naturally occuring bad consequences without the product for consumers,
Financial Insecurities for the old and new workers of the company)

Thus, with negative emotions present, they provide a "solution" for them.
(Living through Christ/ Consuming or using the product and promoting the product)

Finally, they introduce a set of rules or regulations often together with stories.
(Thou shall not do whatsoever + Bible/
Life principles of altruism through the product + success stories of different people)

Following that, the system grows by itself, probably because people, once strong,
meekly confirmed what has been suggested to be the root of problems in their lives
and accepted immediately what has been to be the solution to the problems.
So, even if my cousin uses what I could say to be manipulative tactics, he truly believes
in his product in the background and more over, believes that working for such
a "fantastic" company would ensure his financial success in years to come.

I must say, I have written what I have merely observed. I confess that what I have
seen and experienced is far less compared to most people. I am neither attacking an
organisation or religion, but merely stating the common points in their methods
of recruiting new members. But for me, I disagree with such ways. That is all.
