Writing this blog while getting a lil feeling from my cola/beer/vodka mixture, I stare around my room. My new friend Josh, is printing notes with his printer and laptop here while my room mate, Tau Kien surfs the net for interesting stuff. Today's Monday, and I try to recollect the complete events that happened over the 2 days period of my weekend.
I woke up early and prepared myself. I tried to persuade my room mate to come with me for security reasons, but he wouldn't. What the hell, I ran to the outside junction of my residential area. RAN. Luckily, I reached early enough, the bus came in a minute. Close call. The next bus would have been 2 hours later.
Reaching Kajang ktm, I strided quicker than all others and bought my ticket at an earlier time. I went out to see my train on the opposite platform, I sprinted and leaped off the stairs. These simple and fast maneuvers allowed me to get into the train in the nick of time.
I noticed some things that kept recurring over and over, as if it was a pattern or culture, while in a train. The people standing would seldom seek into deeper places for empty seats when there are so many waiting to comfort their tired asses. Perhaps there is an unwritten rule or ego or lethargy or other purposes that the train passengers hold. I comfortably sat and looked around at the enormous pack of bodies erected around the train's door, even when their ride is 6-7 stops away, and i turned to the dispersed empty seeds around me. Amusing.
I was grateful when the lady and husband with 3 adorable daughters directed me on where to interchange at KL Central. I continued my journey after a few minutes of waiting. Again, I witnessed the Standing Passengers with Empty Seats Phenomena (SPESP).
(It has been over one month this article has been left unwritten, so it goes on now, if i could remember correctly)
Arriving at subang jaya, I took a bus to the Sunway Pyramid. There I met Michelle and Jing Xiang. Awesome, my first sight of ppl from my school in Malaysia since I got here, not that they're anything special :P. Went around, watched MI3, got myself a taste of secret recipe. Later went for dota for a while. Well a while that summed up a total of 40 ringgits for the cybercafe fees. 2.50 ringgit per hour. You do the math.
All groggy, slept a while. Went to have a nice lunch with Jing Xiang at his area of accomodation, it's crappy on the inside, but the outside features of his place are nice, with red-brown textured walls and a few archs and a pool with a restaurant next to it, where we ate.
Jing Xiang sent me to the KTM and bid our farewells. I look upon the events of the day. There was nothing magnificent. But what is magnificient? A drop of water in a fictional humidless desert? Then perhaps, meeting a couple of ppl i know long before while still adapting to a new environment is. Or is it escapinism to a comfortable environment? Probably both.
